BURIAL AT SEA

As times change, so do traditions. People of today’s generation don’t feel as obligated to adhere to the rituals and customs on which they were raised and therefore seek funeral alternatives. Direct cremation, burial at sea and green burials are the decisions many families are making to create unique ceremonies to honor people they love.

As difficult a thing as it is to talk about, final wishes are a decision that many wish to take part. Devout environmentalists are subscribing to a burial at sea option which is an eco-friendly and conventionally unorthodox plan.

Having pre-arrangements also takes the burden off of loved ones when you’re no longer with them. Unfortunately, if provisions are not made in advance, disharmony can result as family members disagree on what the deceased “would have wanted.”
